Noten is open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPL-3.0). You are free to inspect, modify, and distribute the application under the terms of this license.

The application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use of the software.

Since your notes are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB, clearing your browser's data, cache, or using private browsing mode may delete your notes. It is your sole responsibility to perform regular local backups (via the Export feature) or enable Filen Cloud Sync to safeguard your data.

By enabling Filen Cloud Sync, you agree to comply with Filen's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not control Filen's servers, storage systems, or availability, and are not responsible for any sync failures, service interruptions, or data losses associated with your Filen account.
